Science project materials are now online in Google Classroom. Students should have already sent me their project idea. Next to be submitted is the Project proposal which is due on Monday, February 11. The project itself will be due on March 1 and the school fair will be held on March 14. Participation in the fair is not required, but students will receive 5 extra marks just for being there. Sweet deal if you ask me. :-)
Will take place on Wednesday, January 30. Students already have the notes and the review questions.
Chapter 4 Quiz will be held on Thursday, January 10. Review materials can be found in the notes and worksheets section.
Will be held on Monday, December 3. Review materials can be found at the end of the Chapter 3 booklet that students have already been given.
I had set the Chapter 2 Quiz for Tuesday, Nov. 6, but because of scheduling and the long weekend, the quiz will have to be postponed until Wednesday, November 14th. They were asked yesterday to complete the questions in their notes booklet for homework. Students were given the review sheet today. Please complete the review sheet for homework for Monday. These documents have been updated from last year, so please use the updated ones on my website.
Our class will be headed to the Botanical garden for our first field trip (WOO HOO!) on Thursday, October 4th, from 8:30 until 11:30 (Day 1). Students were given permission forms on Thursday. Please fill them out and return them with the $10 fee ASAP. It will be going ahead rain or shine so make sure you dress for the weather.
Last night was meet the teacher night and these documents were given out and contain lots of useful information, please have a look through them.

And welcome to my blog! This is my science page for 7-1 at MDJH.
On this website you will find all notes, worksheets, updates on what we are doing in class, homework, dates for tests and assignments. There is also a link to an online version of the textbook.
Departmental regulations have changed regarding testing and we will be having a cumulative, end of year exam. That means we will need to keep our notes from throughout the year so students will need 4 duotangs for each of the 4 unit's notes and work.
Students are asked to make sure they come to each class prepared with something to write with and have a duotang that they can put their handouts in as soon as possible. A few sheets of looseleaf would not go astray either.
We have already finished Lab Safety. Here is the set of worksheets that were given out in class... they can also be found in the GRADE 7 SCIENCE NOTES AND WORKSHEETS section of this web site.
